Triple H Unveils New Look At John Cena's Heel Turn In WWE Unreal Teaser (WWE News)

Perhaps unbelievably, John Cena was the LAST to hear about his WWE heel turn.

WWE Unreal will be available on Netflix from 29 July onwards. During teasers for the documentary, Triple H has leaked word on the chain of command before triggering John Cena's blockbuster heel turn back at Elimination Chamber: Toronto in March. Get this: Cena was actually the last to know about what was going to happen.

Nick Khan was Hunter's first port of call. When the WWE President approved the bold creative decision, Trips moved on to The Rock and wanted to know his old foe's thoughts. Rocky listened intently to the pitch, but would only offer scant "mm-hmm, mm-hmm" reactions throughout. Triple H wasn't really sure if the 'Final Boss' was into it, but that changed once he stopped talking.

Rock replied: "Wow, man, I gotta tell you, I think that’s genius".

Perhaps bizarrely, it was Travis Scott was was on Hunter's hit list next. The musician, who has since vanished from the WWE bubble and seemingly won't be back any time soon, was into the idea of being included. No surprises there, especially considering Scott was going to be in the ring for one of the most historic moments in wrestling history.

Next, it was Cody Rhodes who found out about creative plans. It didn't take long for the then-WWE Champ to give his own personal rubber stamp of approval. Finally, Trips clued Cena in on everything. 'The Game' wanted to know John's gut feeling. "When I hung up the phone with him, within a minute, minute in a half, I’ve gotten like three different texts from him of thoughts, ideas, and so I’m like...right, he’s engaged!".

WWE reminded everybody to keep things under wraps heading into Elimination Chamber. They definitely didn't want any word getting out that Cena might be going rogue - it was very important to Hunter and everyone else involved that things were kept quiet and away from the media.

Mission accomplished, but it's fascinating to learn that Cena was actually the last to get notified pre-heel turn. The fact that even Travis Scott was clued up before him will tickle/horrify some people reading this.
