With rumblings that Travis Scott would be making some sort of appearance at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event last month, possibly even to wrestle a match, there's now word on Scott's current WWE status.

When asked about reports of Scott working Money in the Bank during a recent Q&A show on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, WrestleVotes noted how WWE actually had "a lot" of merchandise made for the rapper with the date and location of that PLE on it.

As for why plans changed, WrestleVotes says that was down to the situation surrounding R-Truth. With the backlash to Truth's release, and the subsequent decision to re-sign him, that caused a creative shake-up for the Money in the Bank PLE.

Of course, Money in the Bank was ultimately headlined by John Cena teaming with Logan Paul to take on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, with R-Truth making his shock return to hit Cena with the WWE Championship, which set the stage for Cody to put Big Match John away with a Cross Rhodes.

It was previously rumoured that Cena would be teaming with Travis Scott at some point later this year, with Money in the Bank a likely landing point for that. Instead, those creative changes resulted in Logan Paul taking that spot alongside the record-setting 17-time World Champion.

As for what's next for Travis Scott in terms of WWE, WrestleVotes added that it's possible that Scott could wrestle at SummerSlam next month, although also states that WWE could always have simply decided to move on entirely from the idea of Travis having any sort of match.

Given how John Cena is currently slated to defend his WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, that would seemingly prevent any chance of WWE reverting back to those plans of Travis Scott tagging with Cena should Scott indeed lace up his boots for SummerSlam.

In addition to appearing at Elimination Chamber earlier this year as part of the Cena heel turn and beatdown of Cody, Travis Scott also got involved in the WrestleMania 40 Night 2 main event, being laid out with a Cross Rhodes, though serving as enough of a distraction for Cena to defeat Rhodes for the WWE Title.
