Trish Stratus returned to WWE on last night's edition of Monday Night Raw.

The former multi-time Women's Champion and WWE Hall-Of-Famer ran in during the main event Tag Team Championship match between Damage CTRL and Becky Lynch and Lita to offset interference for the titleholders from Bayley.

After Stratus the threat of 'The Role Model', Lynch locked Dakota Kai in the Disarm-Her allowing Lita to nail Iyo Sky with her moonsault for the win.

The unannounced comeback followed reports that Stratus was due to appear on last week's show in Ottawa, Ontario before plans were scrapped, and has fuelled speculation that she will appear at WrestleMania in either a singles or tag match against Bayley and/or her group. Similar rumours have swirled that Lynch and Lita may face Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler at 'The Show Of Shows', which could potentially free Stratus up for the singles match.

Stratus last wrestled for the company at SummerSlam 2019, losing to Charlotte Flair in an extremely well-received encounter in her home town of Toronto. It was billed as something of a farewell to the Canadian star, though Stratus always suggested that there might be more in her future.
