UFC 241: Cormier Vs. Miocic 2 Predictions

Although many fans were hoping to see Daniel Cormier take on Brock Lesnar for the UFC heavyweight title, they'll have to settle with the rematch between DC and Stipe Miocic. That being said, it's a far more compelling and competitive match-up than what Lesnar would've brought to the table.

Despite his achievements at 205lb, Cormier at heavyweight is him fighting at his full potential. Without having to worry about cutting weight, the former UFC light heavyweight champion is able to focus solely on his skills and that's paid dividends since he went up a weight class.

He's got far more power in his punches than he did at 205lb, while he's also able to grapple for longer as he's full of energy. The main weapon Cormier has is his fight IQ. He's got an uncanny ability to find an opponent's weakness and use it against them.

Miocic had a weakness in their first fight and DC exploited it. While Miocic is a smart fighter who most likely fixed that hole in his game, there's probably a few more that Cormier has looked at and plans on exposing. It's hard not see Cormier getting a victory and potentially retiring from competition in the process.
