WWE continues to hint at a specific return date for Uncle Howdy.

For those eagerly awaiting the WWE return of Uncle Howdy, it appears that 17 June is a date you should mark in your calendars.

As the QR code teases continued on last night's Raw, the latest QR spot takes you to a WWE.com breaking news-style video featuring the 'missing' psychiatrist who has now resurfaced and was thankful "he" set her free.

In addition to this, that link also features a second video that shows the psychiatrist's empty chair which is briefly filled by what appears to be Uncle Howdy, and there's a Ring Doorbell-esque image that features DSEASIDESPARROW in its URL. That would seem to represent the dusty seaside sparrow, which is a bird that went extinct on 17 June 1987. On top of that, further scrolling sees the words Decree 900, and that looks to be in relation to a Guatemalan land-reform law that was passed on 17 June 1952.

Additionally, the latest visit to the archived Uncle Howdy page on WWE.com presents the following message:

Just a little longer, my beloveds

until all is revealed.

Now we see. We gaze upon our calling,

ever grateful to be chosen.

Xenial arms opened wide, welcoming the

very ones the world rejected.

I am nobody.

I am all of us.

Taking the first letter of each line there spells out "June XVII", or June 17.

This isn't the first time that 17 June has been tied to this whole Howdy stuff, with a Twitch stream previously spelling out Rainerious, the patron saint of travellers whose 'feast day' is 17 June.

For those wondering, 17 June just so happens to be the Monday after WWE Clash of the Castle, and it seems likely for that to be the landing spot for Uncle Howdy's return. As for who might be joining him, recent reports suggest that Howdy will be leading a faction consisting of Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy, with many speculating that Alexa Bliss will also be a part of this group.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics. As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic. Between his main day job, his role as the lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Adrienne Barbeau, Rob Zombie, Katharine Isabelle, Leigh Whannell, Bruce Campbell, and Tony Todd, to Kevin Smith, Ron Perlman, Elijah Wood, Giancarlo Esposito, Simon Pegg, Charlie Cox, the Russo Brothers, and Brian Blessed, to Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Tara Strong, Will Friedle, Burt Ward, Andrea Romano, Frank Miller, and Rob Liefeld, to Bret Hart, Sting, Mick Foley, Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayer, Britt Baker, Eric Bischoff, and William Regal, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, Brian Flynn, Denis Smith, Gary Bennett, Karl Connolly, and Bryan Robson - and that's just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg. Where his beloved Wrexham AFC is concerned, Andrew is co-host of the Fearless in Devotion podcast, which won the Club Podcast of the Year gong at the 2024 FSA Awards.
