The Undertaker: 10 Great WWE Moments You Completely Forgot About

2. Returning To His Roots

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBr_Kz2MCrk When The Undertaker adopted a new biker persona, WWE fans had a very mixed reaction. For some, it was a welcome change for a gimmick that had been around for several years, a way for his character to evolve and be updated with the times. But for other fans, it was a move that was hated from the moment it happened. But that hate dissipated in 2004 when Big Evil became The gravedigging Deadman once again. Kane had been haunted for several weeks over the return of his brother and that return was due to happen at WrestleMania 20. But many did not know what to expect at the company's biggest event of the year. So when the lights dimmed and the air became cold, the truth is that anything could happen. But then Paul Bearer's familiar "ohhh yes," rang out over the sound system and immediately the crowd erupted. The crowd knew what was next and they welcomed it with open arms. The Undertaker returned in his traditional character. Though he was still sporting the Big Evil gear, he was now living the gimmick that made him a star from the very beginning. The Undertaker had finally returned to his roots and WWE fans could not be happier about it. That gimmick stood strong for the next 10 years as the bike never made a comeback. Undertaker became Undertaker once again and that is likely how he will always remain.
