The Undertaker: 10 Great WWE Moments You Completely Forgot About

1. The 1994 Royal Rumble Ascension

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap2lwYPWNEw The best part of The Undertaker's gimmick is the theatricality. Taker is by far the most entertaining, most intriguing Superstar of all time and the incredible work that WWE has done over the years to enhance his character is without equal. All of the pyro, the druids, the coffins and the urns, it has all been done to further the mystique of The Deadman. And perhaps the best example of that occurred at the 1994 Royal Rumble against Yokozuna. Yokozuna, along with a small heel army, defeated The Phenom. But as the casket was being led away, suddenly something happened. Undertaker appeared on the big screen and delivered a word of warning to not only the men that had attacked him but to the fans as well. He would not stay down for long, he would be back. It was that very theatrical, very dramatic spot that may have fallen flat had it happened in any other pro wrestling company. But in the very capable hands of Vince McMahon, it became a moment that helped define not only a Superstar but the era he thrived in. The Undertaker is perhaps the most celebrated entertainer of his generation and certainly one of the most popular Superstars in WWE history. And this moment stands as one of the most dramatic and most theatrical, of his career.
