The Undertaker: 10 Landmark Firsts In His WWE Career

The 24 year WWE career of The Undertaker has been fully of many highs, plenty of lows and more lasting memories than arguably any wrestler ever. His longevity in WWE is unmatched. As much as Vince McMahon would love to have wrestlers last 20 years in the ring, a lot of them don't. It's so rare for somebody to have a career as long as Undertaker, which is one of those things that probably makes him one of McMahon's greatest performers ever. Vince gave him the gimmick, but it was Undertaker that made it work. Undertaker's a guy that has done it all in WWE. If you look at his resume, he's wrestled so many legends from the time he walked in as a main event level performer to his last match on record against Brock Lesnar. There are few people in wrestling history that compare to him. He's in a league of his own in a lot of ways. Can you think of any other wrestler that had multiple match types created specifically for their character? No. It's only Undertaker. There are three of them, which will be mentioned here. Fans may associate a guy like Shawn Michaels with the ladder match, but it's not like it was his match. With Undertaker they created match types based around his gimmick. It was as if WWE was saying "this guy is more important than the others" because he is. There are plenty of things we can point to in Undertaker's career that were landmark firsts, so here's a look at ten of them going from the beginnings of the character to the present day.
