The Undertaker: 10 Landmark Firsts In His WWE Career

10. His First PPV Appearance At Survivor Series 1990

The Undertaker's WWE debut was arguably one of the greatest starts for anybody in wrestling history. He was signed from WCW and given this Undertaker gimmick when he was just 25 years old. Management really believed in him from the beginning because you don't see too many guys that young being put in major positions, but he had the right look to pull it off. He actually started as Cain (or Kane) The Undertaker on Superstars before Survivor Series, but that's not really acknowledged as his start. It was Survivor Series when he really became a household name that would be a driving force in WWE for the next 24 years. His performance in the Survivor Series match as part of Ted Dibiase's team was pretty good. He pinned future Hall of Famer Koko B Ware (why is Koko inducted anyway?), then he pinned another Hall of Famer in Dusty Rhodes and then he was counted out for going after Rhodes because WWE didn't want him getting pinned. They probably should have booked him to be a survivor in the match, but instead they just took him out too early. There have been many memorable moments in his career, but nothing was as important as his beginning in WWE because it came at time when WWE needed a new star and they got one.
