The Undertaker's 10 Best Matches (Not At WrestleMania)
7. The Undertaker Vs. Batista (World Heavyweight Title Last Man Standing Match) - Backlash 2007
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ff7rIo_hQM There were four Undertaker vs. Batista matches on PPV in 2007 - five if you count a triple threat also involving Edge. There was also a huge steel cage match on Smackdown after this match, so you could say that WWE really loved this rivalry. Both guys were in the babyface role for all of their matches, so they all had a similar vibe to them. Trying to pick one out of that bunch was difficult. They had really good chemistry for a couple of big guys, which isn't always the case. Usually it's easier for a big guy working with a smaller person because that person can bump for the bigger guy and the story is easier to tell with the little guy bumping around for the big man. It's just a simple story to tell. It was a match filled with drama due to Last Man Standing rules. Each guy hit their big moves, the other gets up at 9 and the crowd is going wild for it. It's the perfect way to build up the drama of the finish. For the finish, they went with a huge spot by the ramp with Batista giving Undertaker a Spear off the stage. That ended the match with both guys out of it as they went crashing into the set below the stage. Very memorable ending that didn't provide a clear winner.
