The Undertaker's 10 Greatest Hell In A Cell Moments
10. The First WrestleMania HIAC
WrestleMania is the biggest show of the year, and the Hell in a Cell is seen by many as the ultimate "blow-off" match for a feud, so it's almost surprising that there haven't been more Hell in a Cell matches at 'Mania. However, after watching this first one, it does make a lot more sense. In the early months of 1999, The Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness were in their ascent, and were targeting Vince McMahon and his family with the aim of taking over the company. In the lead-up to this match, Undertaker played mind-games with McMahon by kidnapping his son Shane, and burning the teddy bear of his daughter Stephanie. Vince McMahon still controlled the WWF though, so he put The Undertaker into a Hell in a Cell match with his chief of security, The Big Boss Man. The actual match itself is incredibly forgettable and almost certainly unworthy of being part of The Undertaker's legendary streak. The memorable moment comes after The Deadman has won. The Brood (Edge, Christian & Gangrel), descend from the rafters, cut their way through the cell and feed The Undertaker a noose. Undertaker proceeds to hang The Big Boss Man as Paul Bearer makes sure the cell rises, and The Boss Man is left dangling as a message to the McMahons.
