Fightful Select have confirmed the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast's Andrew Zarian's report that this year's WWE King of the Ring and first Queen of the Ring tournament will conclude at Crown Jewel 2021 on 21 October.

This is, of course, WWE's next pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia, and the company's first in the country since February 2020.

While the promotion was initially prevented from holding women's matches in the country, this changed when Natalya wrestled Lacey Evans at Crown Jewel 2019. Per Fightful, the promotion no longer sees holding such bouts in Saudi Arabia as a hurdle, believing they have "broken the barrier" there.

Zarian's original report stated that King and Queen of the Ring will take place throughout October. WWE is yet to officially announce anything regarding the tournaments.

WWE filed a trademark application for 'Queens Crown Tournament' in late August, leading to speculation that this would be the women's tournament's name. Again, this is yet to be confirmed by the promotion.

Baron Corbin became WWE's latest King of the Ring in September 2019, beating Chad Gable in the final. Corbin didn't relinquish his 'King' gimmick until losing a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura this past August.
