Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Oct 14)

3. When It Dains...

Alright, forget Imperium for a minute. In fact, forget this entire match. This was all about Dain and Drake finally arriving as a unified force. Yes, they got beat and, yes, virtually all of their offence is just Dain throwing Drake into people, but this is still gold and it's finally clicking. THEY DID A HOT TAG SPOT! TWICE!

As spirited a defeat as they come, as the pair actually looked to gel pretty well in the ring before the in-ring experience of Imperium proved too much. However, the post-match beatdown from Ever-Rise, leading to Dain absolutely steamrollering them both and declaring that nobody beats up his partner except him was brilliant.

Whatever brand you watch, WWE has a massive problem with tag-team wrestling. Teams break up for no reason, the titles they carry feel meaningless, and those that do enjoy brief moments of being over inevitably drown in a sea of underwhelming booking. The Fury and The Furry won't be long for this world, but they're going to be enjoyable while they're here.
