Vince McMahon Issues Statement On Latest Controversy, WWE Responds
WWE's Executive Chairman issues statement in internal memo.

Vince McMahon's name was back in the headlines yesterday, with SEC filings accompanying WWE's Q2 2023 results revealing that the 77-year-old was subjected to a search warrant and grand jury subpoena in July.
Following this, the WWE Executive Chairman sent an internal memo to company employees, including the following statement:-
"In 2022, WWE formed a special committee to review allegations of misconduct against me. That review was concluded in November 2022 following an extensive investigation. Throughout this experience, I have always denied any intentional wrongdoing and continue to do so. I am confident that the government's investigation will be resolved without any findings of wrongdoing. I am focused on completing the recovery process from my recent spinal surgery and on closing our transaction with Endeavor, which will create one of the preeminent global sports and entertainment brands."
McMahon had been forced to resign in disgrace from his position as WWE Chairman and CEO amidst multiple allegations of sexual misconduct in July 2022, leading to the special committee's formation. The 77-year-old returned as Executive Chairman in January.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that WWE's internal memo noted that Vince was never charged with any wrongdoing.
During yesterday's earnings call, WWE CEO Nick Khan also confirmed that McMahon is currently on "medical leave" from his position, as he recovers from recent spinal surgery.
