Vince Russo's 10 Worst WCW Booking Decisions

9. David Flair

The only logical way to describe anything involving David Flair in WCW is that Vince Russo obviously is super-infatuated with the character and legacy of Ric Flair. In fact, he's so infatuated with Flair's legacy that he needed to add his own impact to it as well. Russo's attempt at aiding Flair's legacy? Attempting (and failing) to make Flair's son David as big of a star as his father within two years of David Flair becoming a professional wrestler. David Flair was a United States and Tag Team Champion during Russo's run in WCW. As well, similar to his father, David Flair had angles that showcased him as a ladies man too. He was paired in WCW (at various times) with Torrie Wilson, Kimberly Page, Daffney and Stacy Kiebler. Sadly, at no point here do we discuss David Flair's tremendous in-ring performances, because there were none. Similar to Erik Watts before him, he was a famous son in wrestling pushed way too hard way too soon.
