Was THIS Controversial Ex-WWE Star "Under-Appreciated"?!
A current WWE star thinks fans "hate" this former colleague for no good reason.
Shayna Baszler has gone on record to say that Ronda Rousey will always be "under-appreciated" by pro wrestling fans. In fact, Shayna doesn't understand why some simply "hate" her old tag-team partner and real-life friend just because she's outspoken.
Current WWE star Baszler told WrestleZone that Rousey will never get the credit she richly deserves for working hard to elevate women’s combat sports in UFC and WWE. Shayna also thinks some would happily "erase" everything Ronda has achieved and pretend it never happened.
Baszler described all of this as "a shame", and thinks those people should show more appreciation for Rousey's graft over the years. Of course, Ronda clashed with pro wrestling fans several times across multiple spells in WWE.
It never really seemed like the 'Baddest Woman On The Planet' enjoyed being booed, perhaps because she didn't fully grasp what wrestling is all about. Maybe that's unfair, but there did seem to be a few dummy-spitting moments on podcasts and social media from Ronda's side.
Shayna would like everyone to put more respect on Rousey's name and understand the spotlight she put on women in MMA and WWE.
