WCPW Announce Inaugural Pro Wrestling World Cup 2017

What Culture Pro Wresting has announced a first of its kind 64-man tournament taking place this summer.

Named the Pro Wrestling World Cup '17, the tournament is an ambitious project that will house 64 of the best independent wrestlers across the globe going into battle to crown one champion. The tournament will run from March through to the Summer months.

Fresh details have emerged on the idea, including the fact that all World Cup matches will be aired for free via YouTube. This includes the two-night final which will be broadcast live via the official WCPW YouTube Channel.

Beginning on March 21, the World Cup will run over ten separate dates and will see competitors from six different continents compete in eight separate preliminary tournaments. For example, there will be tournaments for England, Scotland, United States, Canada, Germany, Japan and Mexico.

There will also be a tournament for the Rest Of The World, taking in entrants from a further eight nations.

The regional tournament for England begins on March 21 in Nottingham, with information on other tournaments to be revealed in coming weeks.
