1. Big Damo Becomes First WCPW Champion
Big Damo, represented by Jack The Jobber and Adam Pacitti, used the Piledriver himself to become the first ever WCPW Champion. There was no need for heavy hints here, Damo joined forces with Adam Blampied to stick it to the company and bag the championship all for himself. There were shocked faces all round.
Hearing cheers previously, Big Damo has just become arguably the top heel in the promotion by virtue of his actions. Wrestling fans love a good turn, but this had even the most ardent supporters slack-jawed. That shock continued when Damo hammered General Manager Pacitti and left with Blampied.
As stunning as it was to watch unfold, the whole situation was also undeniably awesome. Blampied looked like all his dreams had come true, and Damo seemed to revel in the stunned silence of the crowd.
People had been willing to embrace Damo as the new WCPW Champ, but not under these circumstances. What an excellent ending to a show that puts WCPW firmly on the wrestling map.
