When WCPW began, it seemed like an experiment to some. Even hosting a show would seem like an achievement, nobody believed that the promotion would be able to convince an established company to allow their World Title to be put on the line. That's exactly what happened with the Ring Of Honor World Championship at Built To Destroy.

In a historic moment, Noam Dar challenged reigning champ Jay Lethal for the prestigious gold. There was magic in the air right before the match actually took place, especially due to a promo displaying the rising tensions between men who would normally consider themselves friends.

As Lethal entered the ring, it was like the weight of the situation just started to sink in on the live audience. Right there, live and in living colour, they were going to see the ROH World Title defended on a WCPW event.

The champion approached his challenger and raised the title high into the air, setting the scene for what was to come. Put plainly, the match turned out to be fantastic.
