WCPW Built To Destroy: 10 Awesome Moments
4. Drake Makes An Impact
Thus far in WCPW's lifespan, Drake has been somewhat of a dark horse. Losses to the likes of Primate and Big Damo have all been building up to something, the story calling for him to prove his worth to James R. Kennedy and Prospect. At Built To Destroy, he was handed an almighty moment.
Once Noam Dar had vacated the scene, Drake came out of nowhere to ambush his friend. The timing was expert here, because Jay Lethal was just about to embrace the WCPW fans and thank them for attending such an important match for the ROH World Title.
Briefly fighting back, he was laid out by the vicious Drake. There's a quiet magnetism to Drake's presence, like he doesn't even need to talk to be foreboding. That is likely to be Kennedy's job going forward, as the manager came out to stand in the background of the picture and endorse what had just happened.
Even though fleeting, it was great to see Drake make such an impact on the show.
