WCPW Loaded Episode 9: 10 Awesome Moments
8. Stereo Tombstone Piledrivers
From death-defying to utterly sickening, a pair of stereo Tombstone Piledrivers was not the kind of thing may believed they'd be seeing in a match crammed full of high-flyers and deft technicians. There was actually a Tombstone theme running throughout the entire episode, Drew Galloway smashed Moose with one of his own later on in the show.
That was entirely in-keeping with the story surrounding Rampage and Big Damo, but even those massive heavyweights couldn't match the bizarre visual of seeing Pete Dunne and Marty Scurll aim to decapitate their opponents. Poor Travis Banks and Will Ospreay were the victims, whilst Martin Kirby sought refuge on the outside of the ring.
Falling in unison, Dunne and Scurll couldn't pick up the pinfall win by using the moves. Perhaps this was a good thing, who knows what call the referee would have been forced to make had the devious pair both been able to pin Banks and Ospreay simultaneously.
In a bout that was full of slick exchanges and stunning strikes, seeing not one but two Tombstone Piledrivers felt special.
