WCPW Loaded Episode 9: 10 Awesome Moments
7. Martin Kirby Comes Out On Top
As cool as those twin Tombstone Piledrivers were, they didn't work out in the end for Pete Dunne and Marty Scurll. In fact, Will Ospreay and Travis Banks (the sorry victims of the infamous moves) didn't pick up the win either. Much to the chagrin of General Manager Adam Pacitti, it was Martin Kirby who came away with his hand raised.
After attempting his comical Zoidberg Elbow several times, Kirby wound up relying on a Sable Bomb to come out on top. That's not a sentence that anyone would ever expect to write, but it happened in WCPW. Better yet, the fans were ecstatic that the pink-clad performer was victorious, cheering heartily.
This poses something of a problem for Adam Pacitti. As much as he quite clearly cannot stand Martin Kirby, he has to admit that it was impressive to watch him beat Scurll, Banks, Dunne and Ospreay in one match. Surely, Kirby has shot up the rankings with that win, and he must be in contention for a future shot at gold in the promotion going forward.
