Looking at his persona in the ring, you would think that it would be impossible for Crowbar to take up such a profession after leaving WCW. Crowbar actually worked for WWE under the name Devon Storm for a little over a year before being released. He would then join WCW and take up the wacky Crowbar persona that saw him gain his greatest notoriety. Crowbar was a mental Hardcore specialist who wasn't the most technical wrestler, but achieved fantastic success by using his body as a weapon. Chris Ford, as he's known in real life, was released from WCW in March 2001 right before the company was bought out by the World Wrestling Federation. He went straight into the independents after leaving the company, something he still dabbles in today. He also had a decent run in TNA during the mid naughties. However, it's in the physiotherapy field where Ford dedicates most of his time. Crowbar studied at Kean University for six years and graduated with a degree in physical therapy. He would continue his work on the side while wrestling in WCW. He and his wife, who is a registered dietician, currently work side by side at their own health care facility in Northern NJ.
