At various points in her career, there were rumors of big things in store for the Lithuanian-born Aksana. In 2009, she won the IFBB Arnold Classic, which gained her some interest from WWE where she soon joined on with the far less exotic name of “Olga.”

The next year she joined NXT and married Goldust in an angle so she could stay in the United States. For some reason, she didn’t want to live with a man who wears face paint at all times and turned heel on him. Her most promising run overall was by the side of Cesaro when he joined the main roster but the duo didn’t stay together long. After another short pairing with Alicia Fox, she was let go.

What held Aksana from receiving that rumored push is likely due to the fact that she just wasn’t very good. While she was featured right before the Women’s Revolution era, she still wasn’t in the league of her contemporaries in Fox, AJ Lee, and Paige. Her last match in the business was in the summer of 2014 and she hasn’t competed anywhere since.

For hardcore Aksana fans out there, it's probably best to give up the dream that she'll ever return.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
