What If Brock Lesnar Joined AEW
1. AEW World Champion And A Chance To Do This Right
An AEW World Championship match between uber-heel MJF and ass-kicking babyface Brock Lesnar would be a thing to behold. It is only a matter of time before MJF makes it to the top of the mountain, a question of 'when' not 'if', and it is only right that his first run as AEW World Champion come crashing to the ground courtesy of the most decorated combat athlete of the modern era. MJF, the pro wrestling embodiment of wealth, arrogance and entitlement, having his dreams smashed by the beefy son of a South Dakota dairy farmer. It is the American Dream, folks.
Of course, Lesnar defeating MJF to become the AEW World Champion is only the beginning of the story. By having Lesnar pick up the belt and go on a dominant run as champion, AEW has the chance to right one of the great wrongs of Lesnar's WWE tenure, namely putting someone over in beating him. WWE tried time and time again to do it with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins but past mistakes always got in the way. By attacking this from a clean slate, AEW can do something special.
Who should that person be? That is another story for another day, although the symmetry of Lesnar taking Jungle Boy's place in the tournament only to lose the title to ol' JB down the line is too obvious to ignore.
For now, this is The Beast Incarnate's world.
