What If Brock Lesnar Joined AEW
2. Kenny Omega Awaits
There aren't many bigger dream matches in professional wrestling today. Brock Lesnar vs. Kenny Omega sounds like a hell of a lot of fun, right? As mentioned, Lesnar's best matches have generally been against smaller opponents playing underdog babyface, and we all know that Omega has the ability to play that role to a tee. Anything that Styles, Balor or Punk can do, Omega can do in spades.
How weird is it that Kenny Omega vs. Brock Lesnar has become such a big dream match? Rewind just six years go and Omega was defeating Ryusuke Taguchi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar? He was defending the WWE Championship in an all-time great Triple Threat match against Seth Rollins and John Cena. The two were in different universes, yet here we are. If Lesnar came to AEW, Omega would be fighting Moxley at the top of the queue for a shot at The Beast Incarnate.
Like Moxley, Omega will fall short in his quest to slay the beast. This isn't the time to beat Lesnar, especially with a notoriously cowardly AEW Champion waiting in the wings.
