What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?
17. WrestleMania 19
WrestleMania XIX is particularly tough, as there are three serious contenders that could all be seen as a rival for Brock Lesnar beating Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship, even while ignoring the best match in Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho.
One would be to just put the other world title on Saturday night's main event, meaning Triple H defending against Booker T. Maybe on this timeline, the right decision would have been made and the World Heavyweight Championship would have changed hands - and it wouldn't have been one of the worst wrestling moments ever.
There's also the Street Fight between Hulk Hogan and Mr. McMahon, which sells itself by putting those faces on the poster and also had Hogan's retirement on the line. Given how those two shaped the whole industry, there's more than enough there to justify it as a secondary main event.
But don't forget about The Rock vs. Steve Austin in what was also effectively Stone Cold's retirement match up until his one-off return against Kevin Owens nearly 20 years later. If anyone would give Hogan and McMahon a run for their money in terms of popularity and importance to the company, it would be these two.
It's nearly impossible to tell which one of those would have been chosen, but with the option of Triple H vs. Booker T opening one of the nights, it would probably come down to Hogan vs. McMahon or The Rock vs. Austin.
