What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?
5. WrestleMania 31
Technically, the wrestler who walks out of WrestleMania 31 winning the main event wasn't even scheduled for the match in the first place, but the Money in the Bank cash-in only works if it is a surprise. There's no way WWE could have split Seth Rollins into challenging on another night and pulled that off.
As the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was unified at this point, there is no other top title equivalent that is justified as the opposite night's main event, and this was also before the women's division upped the ante.
The ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship was despite featuring some fan favourite wrestlers too hastily thrown together and featured distinctly upper-midcard talent that mostly were viewed as a notch lower than people like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, so even Daniel Bryan winning that doesn't save it, either.
When looking at other bouts, it comes down to The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt not meaning as much with The Streak no longer active, so the No Disqualification match between Triple H and Sting would be the best option.
With all the legends involved, and the commodity of Sting finally in a WWE ring, that match stands out as the most special.
