What REALLY Happened To WWE's 16 Tallest Wrestlers Ever?

11. Kurrgan (6'11)

Giant Gonzalez
Warner Bros.

Known For: Honestly, former 'Interrogator' for the Truth Commission and Jackyl meal ticket Kurrgan is remembered most fondly for dancing around in a silly hat as part of The Oddities during the 'Attitude Era'. That turned him into a likeable comedy character (a Vince McMahon trope over the years with giants), but it didn't last very long.

What Happened To Him: The Oddities version of Kurrgan seems to be a bit closer to Robert Maillet's real life personality than the Truth Commission one. Big Bob stopped wrestling for good in 2011 and went full tilt on a career in acting. Like Nathan Jones, he's typecast due to his size, but Maillet has done well to become a reliable, go to guy when it comes to casting monsters.

His role as the Über-Immortal in 2006's 300 alongside Gerard Butler was a hot start for the ex-Kurrgan, but it wasn't a one off. From there, in chronological order, Maillet bagged spots in Sherlock Holmes (2009), Immortals (2011), Pacific Rim (2013), Hercules (2014), Deadpool 2 (2018) and more. That's just scratching the surface on his filmography, to be honest.

To his credit, Robert has been able to show off some comedic chops during his performances on the silver screen too. By all accounts, he's a friendly chap who just likes to have a blast on set and enjoy his work. It'd be fun to find out if any of his co-stars ever watched him slap a paralysing claw hold on hapless jobbers during Shotgun Saturday Night matches in 1997.

Someone ask. Pretty please?
