What They Did Next: WWE 2021 Releases - Part 1

One set of cancelled plans for our last entrant, Chelsea Green, would have seen her stalking Mickie James in a similar manner to how James herself was famously introduced as a crazed Trish Stratus superfan. Would we have seen Stratus as a guest referee, looking on bemused as her matches with James were paid homage to? Who can say how that story would have gone. All we know is that it was killed early, and James joined Green in being released from her contract.

Controversially, WWE packed up James' belongings in a trash bag and mailed them to her, offering nothing but disrespect to one of the mainstays of both the Divas era and the women's revolution. Mickie was a big enough name that, when she called the treatment out, the employee responsible was fired and Stephanie McMahon offered a public apology, but not before the likes of Gail Kim, Maria Kanellis, and Jillian Hall all spoke out about similar treatment seemingly reserved for women who had been fired.

Mickie debuted on the 8 June episode of NWA Powerrr, announcing that she will be an executive producer for the National Wrestling Alliance's first all-female event EmPowerrr, and she's recently juggled NWA duties with dethroning Deonna Purrazzo to become IMPACT Knockout Champion.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
