What WWE TV Show Jim Ross HATED At First

Which broadcast ruined JR's week?

Legendary ex-WWE and current AEW announcer Jim Ross revealed on his excellent 'Grilling JR' podcast that he wasn't fond of the old LiveWire show when it first aired.

JR noted that the limited technology of the mid-90s meant everyone had a tough time with the live call-in portion, and the whole thing was just a chore generally. It didn't help that LiveWire was filmed on Jim's only day off (Saturday) either.

Working the gig didn't excuse him from his other, more pressing company duties either.

Ross still had to do payroll for the touring roster and keep tabs on what was happening with the promotion's weekend house shows. Adding LiveWire on top of his workload proved a struggle, not least because of the aforementioned technological hitches holding things back.

LiveWire was ahead of its time, and JR did work well with Vince Russo (of all people), but he told his podcast listeners that he never really had fun broadcasting the show. It wasn't long before the WWF's revolving door policy meant Jim was off the LiveWire crew anyway.

It doesn't seem being replaced ever bothered him.
