3. Kevin Owens (Favour The Underdog/Outsider)
Just looking at Kevin Owens makes it clear that he's not a stereotypical WWE star. For years, it's been said that Vince McMahon expects a certain look from his larger-than-life 'WWE Superstars'. Owens doesn't have the muscles of John Cena, and he actually looks fairly average. In fact, there are likely huge numbers of wrestling fans across the world who share his appearance. That shared comprehension is exactly what makes Kevin Owens so appealing. 'KO' is cast as someone who should have never made it to the big stage WWE provides, but he did so because he was so utterly dedicated to shedding the stereotype of what a star in the company can be. People can relate to that, because it helps them feed their dream of doing something similar. Even as a heel, Owens is an underdog looking to punch upwards. That's partly why people were so enthused when he was booked to defeat Ryback and win the WWE Intercontinental Title. Fans who like the man were validated with their belief in him by the victory. People dig that 'outsider' mentality, there's something cool about rising up against all odds to success.
