With WWE Money in the Bank now in the rearview mirror, Naomi and Seth Rollins walked out of their respective ladder matches with guaranteed title shots to their name.

The women's MITB contest opened last night's Premium Live Event, with the match delivering some of the crazed, chaotic action nowadays commonplace with these offerings, as each of the six wrestlers - Naomi, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer - all had their own moments to shine.

As for the finish of the match, that came at around the 25-minute mark, with Naomi pushing over a ladder that sent Ripley and Bliss crashing through a ladder bridge before she then climbed up to nab the briefcase and become the new Ms. Money in the Bank. Going into the PLE, Naomi seemed like the wrestler who'd benefit the most from a big Money in the Bank win, with this being a nice reward for someone who's been putting in fantastic work since turning heel earlier in the year.

Up next was Dominik Mysterio successfully defending his Intercontinental Championship against AAA's Octagon Jr. in a brisk five-minute match that was set in motion at Worlds Collide earlier on Saturday. Then came the Women's Intercontinental Championship, as Becky Lynch used the tights to score a roll-up victory over Lyra Valkyria to take home the gold in an explosive, hard-hitting bout that was likely the Match of the Night.

When the men's Money in the Bank match rolled around, it was a case of the heavy favourite taking home the MITB briefcase. Having spent the go-home SmackDown attacking four of his PLE opponents, Seth Rollins was the one standing tall when all was said and done, edging out a spirited LA Knight in the final moments of the ladder match. Along the way, there was interference from Rollins' running buddies Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, plus involvement from Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo. While Fatu initially helped Solo, that didn't last long, with the Samoan Werewolf pulling Sikoa off a ladder and putting a beating on him, seemingly solidifying a full babyface turn for Jacob.

Rounding out the Money in the Bank card, the main event pitted Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes against John Cena and Logan Paul, with the American Nightmare getting the win for his team by pinning Cena... but that was only half of the story. After Big Match John had hit Cody with the WWE Title, a hooded figure entered the ring and took out Cena, with that figure shockingly revealing themselves to be R-Truth. That'd be the one and the same Truth who just last weekend announced that WWE had opted not to renew his contract. Following reports of major unrest backstage at Truth's release, and loud "We Want Truth!" chants at subsequent WWE shows, Nick Khan is said to have reached out to Ron Killings in the last 72 hours to seal a return and new contract for the veteran.
