New NXT UK star Ben Carter has told Fightful that he used WWE video games to train.

The WWE man, who worked three matches in AEW before jumping ship, admitted that he's always been a huge fan of THQ's old SmackDown vs. Raw series. His fascination continued into the 2K era - Carter was such a mega-fan that he actually used to "go through all the moves in the WWE games and literally just have [his] phone out" to take notes.

If any moves stuck out as original and realistic, then he'd jot the details down and try them out in training.

Carter thinks WWE games are a valuable tool that more aspiring pro wrestlers should take advantage of too. He also said during the interview that he'd actively encourage young trainees to scour the WWE gaming archives, go into the moves section and see if there's any they could use.

Ladies and gents, the modern wrestler in a nutshell.

Carter did say that the quality of 2K's games has dropped over the years, but he still believes their titles should be viewed as a complementary training resource. Why not, eh?
