Which WWE Legend Was An "Absolute Gentleman" To NXT's Adam Cole?

"I'll never forget meeting him".

They say one should never meet his/her heroes.

Adam Cole must think that's a load of rubbish, because he had one of the most positive experiences a young kid could have when attending a Kurt Angle meet and greet session. The NXT star told TribLIVE that he was starstruck when he got to the front of the line and shook hands with the Olympic legend.

Cole didn't reveal exactly when this happened, but it was likely in the early-2000s (Adam was born in 1989).

He was so nervous that he didn't even say anything to Kurt. Cole's mother had to push her son's hand forwards so that Angle could shake it, and the wrestler only remembers how friendly he was - he added that he'll "never forget" how nice Kurt was to him, or how relaxed he made others in the queue feel.

That one encounter left a huge impression on Cole. Since becoming a worker himself, he's always tried to be gracious and accommodating to fans. Anyone who gets a quick picture or autograph from the current WWE workhorse has Kurt to thank for that.

He was an "absolute gentleman" that day.
