Which WWE Star Just Wrestled On SmackDown For The FIRST TIME?

Six years in the making...

Shayna Baszler Nia Jax

Nia Jax has been part of WWE since 2014, but Friday night marked her first televised match on the SmackDown brand.

Jax teamed with co-champ Shayna Baszler to retain the Women's Tag Titles against Bayley and Sasha Banks. She scored the decisive fall following a sweet-looking double cross body on the now-former 'Golden Role Models'.

That mimicked Shayna's one-woman army antics at Payback last week. Now, Nia and Shayna are tied one apiece when it comes to winning matches for their team. Could WWE shockingly be onto something good with this duo?

Your writer will be embarrassed if so, because he not-so-subtly said their union was unwanted and crap just last week. The jury is still out, but Payback and the latest SmackDown were notable steps forward.

Back to Nia's landmark moment.

It's a shock in itself that she'd never worked a bout on SmackDown until now. Jax was an NXT regular before moving to Raw in 2016, and has even wrestled on lowly programming like Superstars and Main Event. Friday marked her SmackDown bow though.

In fairness, it was a good 'un, and (as one half of the Women's Tag Champions) Jax probably won't have to wait quite so long for another Friday night whirl.
