Who Ran Last Night's WWE Raw With Triple H Absent?
An update on how last night's WWE Raw worked WITHOUT Triple H.
Last night saw Paul 'Triple H' Levesque miss his first show since becoming WWE's creative lead, forced out of Raw after a positive COVID-19 test.
While Levesque was reportedly "feeling well and in good spirits", the situation sidelines him for the time being, with WWE's Executive Vice President of Talent Relations unable to return until he returns a negative test.
PWInsider's original writeup noted that Levesque felt good about Raw's pre-show creative meeting, having maintained contact with WWE producers and writers. In an update, the outlet reports that Brian 'Road Dogg' James effectively ran the show in Triple H's absence, running point without his old D-Generation X stablemate.
Raw was described as a "team effort", with the long-serving Ed Koskey and Michael Hayes also helping lead things on the creative side.
Executive Director Bruce Prichard, another figure of immense creative influence in WWE, was also absent from Raw. PWInsider states that this was a planned vacation and had nothing to do with Levesque falling ill.
Triple H has served as WWE's head of creative since disgraced former CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon resigned in July, relinquishing that role in the process.
