AEW's relaxed road schedule is to blame for the company's lengthy injury list, writes Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Though this story has been told before, it's nonetheless interesting to revisit at a time when many of AEW's high-profile stars are out of action. Meltzer states that recently, several people have told him that because AEW's wrestlers aren't competing as frequently, their bodies aren't "in tune and in the groove as much", increasing the strain when they do set foot in the ring.

Nick Jackson has spoken on this in the past, saying that AEW's looser schedule is hard for him physically. Another AEW wrestler told Meltzer that they were in bad shape after recently competing three days in a row after rarely working at all. They brought up how much pain they were in, having previously worked many five-shows-a-week stints while in Japan.

Jon Moxley, Sammy Guevara, and Cash Wheeler stand amongst the most recent additions to WWE's injury list. They join long-term absentees Jamie Hayter, Kyle O'Reilly, Thunder Rosa, and others.

Moxley was expected to return from a concussion for this Tuesday's Dynamite, though AEW didn't learn he wasn't cleared to compete until the day of the show. Orange Cassidy substituted for him in an International Championship match with Rey Fenix.
