Why WWE WrestleMania 38 Reeks Of Desperation
WWE likes to operate in this strange universe where its ruling family are the biggest stars in the company. Pay no attention to the superstars who compete week in and week out, it’s the millionaires who run the show who deserve all the adulation and hype.
And while historically there has been no bigger villain and evil boss than Vince McMahon, it’s not the Attitude Era anymore, and Vince is no longer a virile, strapping man who can stand toe-to-toe with any opponent.
But if the rumors are to be believed, McMahon could be stepping into the role his son and erstwhile WWE employee Shane McMahon played the past several WrestleManias: Vince could be competing (or at the very least involved in a match) at the big show.
We’ve seen Vince mentoring Austin Theory recently on Raw, and the pairing has produced some memorable moments… though not necessarily for the reasons WWE would like. And now McMahon has done a podcast interview with Pat McAfee that could be used in storylines going forward.
Even if this doesn’t pan out for the 76-year-old boss, the fact that the rumor has gotten so much steam speaks to the desperation to try to move a few more tickets.
