Why You Must Read This Wrestling Article

Matt Jackson

I can also accept that, on occasion, Matt Jackson overacts.

When he's made fun of for expressing inner turmoil, I don't insult that person. I get mildly irritated when people say the Usos are better, but then I simply move on. If somebody takes the piss out of your favourite wrestler, you can simply ignore them. If someone praises a wrestler that you can't stand, you can always not disagree, or at least point out why you disagree without being just awful.

This isn't likely to happen any time soon, nor is a super-hardcore promotional loyalist likely to read this and think "You know what? Perhaps I shouldn't base my entire personality around a wrestling promotion, any criticism of which compels me to be an absolutely toxic c*nt."

Remember when AEW announced the Owen Hart Cup? This should have been a day spent celebrating the man's incredible legacy. People should have spent time rewatching Owen's best deep cuts, letting fellow fans know that he and the 123 Kid actually had a better match on RAW than at King of the Ring 1994. Instead, unhinged WWE fans made an antagonist out of his widow (!). MP4s of Owen revolutionising the in-ring form in matches not everybody has seen didn't sweep social media. As everything does, it became another tiresome fixture in the WWE Vs. AEW derby.
