Women's Wrestlers With The Most World Titles (Across All Major Promotions)

12. Kyoko Inoue (7)

4 WWWD World Championships

3 WWWA World Single Championships

Many notable joshi federations were founded by ex-AJW headliners. Launched in 2010, Pro-Wrestling Diana is one of the most recently established. Its founder and owner, Kyoko Inoue, is its record four-time champion, and also holds the record for most combined days. From Verne Gagne to Vince McMahon, Jeff Jarrett, or even Kenny Omega, the boss putting the strap on themselves will always be a part of the business, and it would denote naïveté to be upset about it. Besides, it's not as if Inoue was underserving of major accolades.

She had the charisma (and face paint) of The Ultimate Warrior, the pace and energy of Dynamite Kid, and the moveset of an AJPW Pillar of Heaven (she is credited as the inventor of the Niagara Driver and Victoria Driver - 1:03 & 2:23 in the video). Possibly Manami Toyota's greatest rival, she wrestled six of her eight five-star rated matches against her, including WON's 1995 Match of the Year. Six of those were also contested in tag action. She was one of the aces of the division, grabbing hold of the WWWA Tag titles four times alongside Takako Inoue (they are unrelated), as well as winning the Tag League three times in a row (1991-1993) with three different partners.
