1 WWWD World Championship
Joshi's ultimate journeywoman, Aja Kong seems to have competed for every company under the rising sun. Victims of her famed Uraken finisher are to be found among the ranks of AJW, JWP, Oz Academy, GAEA, Sendai Girls, Diana or Arsion, the federation she founded. (By the way, the Uraken you might've seen in her only AEW match was but a parody - the real thing is gruesomely stiff.) With Ayako Hamada, Kong is the only performer on this list to have win five different world titles.
She had her prime years with AJW in the late 1980s / early 1990s, when she was introduced to the world as the original "monster woman". If Pat McAfee worked for AJW at the time, he would have introduced Kong as "the alpha female of our species !!!" A cruel (ask Yumiko Hotta's hand), no-nonsense, wrestling machine of a heel, she was above all a freakish athlete, as quick to suplex challengers on their necks as she was to climb to the top rope to hit her signature Diving Back Elbow.
A major inspiration for Leon White's Big Van Vader character, she was a hell of a lot more terrifying than he ever was...
