Women's Wrestlers With The Most World Titles (Across All Major Promotions)
24. Alexa Bliss (5)
3 Raw/WWE Women’s Championship
2 Smackdown/World Women’s Championship
Is Alexa Bliss the fifth horsewoman of WWE ?
The affirmative: among the pillars of the Women's Revolution, she often looked the part. Her heel work is on par with Charlotte's, she was never awkward on the mic like Sasha Banks or Bayley could be at times, and she did not struggle as long as Becky to get a crowd response.
If you're arguing the negative, there are two main points. First, the aforementioned women are better in-ring workers. As impressive as Bliss' resume is, it lacks even the slightest classic match. The other horsewomen had theirs long ago, and the stars of the following generation (Asuka, Bianca, Rhea) have already overtaken her in that regard. Nonetheless, there is this notion that she is underrated between the ropes, and a better wrestler than what she has gotten the chance to show so far.
Which segues to the second point: for the longest part of her career, she has been disastrously booked. Thrown-together tag teams, fat-shaming angles, and plentiful spooky bullsh*t. Not exactly the stuff that can set up an epic wrestling bout.
A grand return could be in the works, and it's starting to feel a little now or never for Bliss to prove she is not just good, but capital-G Great.
