Women's Wrestlers With The Most World Titles (Across All Major Promotions)
25. Melina (5)
3 WWE Women’s Championships
2 Divas Championships
During the PG era, there were clearly two type of Divas. There were the "diva" Divas: Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres, Candice Michelle, Alicia Fox... And there were the "wrestler" Divas: Mickie James, Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool. While she is a little bit underl-ooked compared to some of her peers, Melina is definitely part of the second category.
When modern fans gush about fantasy matches between modern WWE women and stars of yore, let them not forget the woman who Bret Hart once named "the best wrestler in the world". Her distinctive move-set was easily the most technical of the entire division. She wasn't exactly undervalued either, competing at the top of the women's card for a good five years after splitting from MNM in 2006.
She's had short spells in Impact and NWA, and currently serves as Director of Wrestling Operations as well as color commentator for Ultimate Women of Wrestling. In addition, she puts over the talent of the UWW roster in her YouTube interview series "Ultimate Recap", which is definitely worth a watch.
She is evidently keeping busy.
