WrestleMania 33: 10 Best Moments

5. Steph & Triple H's Comeuppance

Few WWE personalities have ever avoided comeuppance like Stephanie McMahon. Having made a career out of verbally eviscerating and embarrassing full-time wrestlers, Steph rarely lets her victims give anything back, and usually looks bulletproof. Thus, any situation where she actually finds herself on the receiving end of sweet retribution automatically becomes a major talking point, and that’s exactly what happened at WrestleMania.

Steph attempted to get involved in Triple H’s match against Seth Rollins, but it backfired. With Stephanie on the apron, Rollins booted Triple H into his wife, sending her flying through a table below, effectively leading to Seth’s victory. An immensely satisfying spot, particularly for those who have grown sick of her burials.

In defeat, The Game also got what was coming to him. This match had effectively been in the making since last August, when Triple H cost Rollins the Universal Title, and Seth’s redemption was well deserved. The match itself was slow and plodding, but the victory allows The Architect to exorcise his demons, and finally move on with his career. The journey wasn’t always compelling, but the destination made it worthwhile.
