7. A Low-Key Festival

Online murmurings of the Chris Jericho Vs. Kevin Owens match have been quiet - damning the raging part-timer argument yet further.

It was the epitome of ***1/2; curiously lacking in crowd heat for the opening act, the fans only got on board when the big moves and reversals made their appearance towards the finish. It was solid to very good, and never dipped below or rose above that range.

The positioning of it didn't help. The Camping World Stadium crowd were still reeling from the AJ Styles Vs. Shane McMahon opener, which generated mixed emotions. It was a good WrestleMania midcard match. That is about the sum of it. But what does that say about 'Mania itself? Were fans exhausted from concurrently booing Shane McMahon's technical posturing and popping for Styles' bulletproof offence? Did the fact that the match go on second, second only to second last in order of prestige, reinforce the belief that it didn't really matter?

Isn't it thoroughly depressing that two talents can spend months crafting an act, acting out one of the greatest angles in company history, only to be swept up into the scenery?
