WrestleMania 36: 10 Matches We Want To See (And How To Book Them)

1. Seth Rollins Vs AJ Styles (WWE Universal Championship)

Might have shot myself in the foot a bit here as, at the time of writing, it looks like we're going to be getting the Styles vs Rollins rivalry straight-away. While he's a logical first challenger for the new Universal Champion, it seem a bit of a waste to pull the trigger this early because, from there, the only direction for Seth in terms of match quality is down.

Holding off on it could have given us thoroughly enjoyable (and varied) short-term feuds against Drew, Miz, and the returning Bray Wyatt. All of which could have been used to provide Seth a different type of hurdle to overcome and establish himself as a resilient and determined champion.

How You Book It: Well, after you've done that, after you've established him as a man who can always find a way to wrestle his way past an opponent who brings something other than that to the table (Drew's power, Miz's wily intelligence, Bray's... uh... sock puppets) you present him with the logical final boss of his 1 year run. He's out-wrestled the roster, so force him to face the best wrestler on it.

Not to rehash the whole premise of Styles/Nakamura (*shudder*) but a title match based on strong mutual respect and a genuine need to find out who the better man is would offer something different after years of just Watch Brock Throw This Man A Bit. Given, as I have, The Miz the Rumble win so he can challenge across brands, chuck Styles in the Chamber with whoever you like and do it that way.
