Wrestlers With The Most World Titles (Across All Major Federations)
39. Batista (6)
4 World Heavyweight Championships
2 WWE Championships
Even though he's depicted above with the WWE Championship on his shoulder, most of us remember Batista with the Big Gold Belt around his waist. He held the World Heavyweight Championship for a second-best combined total of 507 days (we'll let you guess who's first) and is still the record-holder for the longest individual reign at 282 days (a reign which was only ended by injury).
His first world title triumph against his mentor Triple H at WrestleMania 21 was one of the peaks of the Ruthless Aggression Era (or its end, depending on how you periodize WWE's history). It was a major turning point, and cemented the changing of the guard for a WWE main event scene of which Batista would thereafter be at the forefront.
In 2019, he officially retired from pro wrestling, and he was supposed to enter the Hall of Fame in 2020, until circumstances obviously intervened.
(Note: if two wrestlers have the same number of world titles, we put the one with the most *different* world titles higher)
