If you have being paying attention, you'll notice AJ Styles is one of only two wrestlers in this list that won five different world titles (the other being... Alberto Del Rio). It shouldn't come as a surprise. AJ was recently named PWI Wrestler of the Decade, and that was but the culmination of a 20 year-long journey that saw him dominate the underground, the mainstream, and everything in between.

He started his career switching shows between Ring of Honor and the newly-launched Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. In 2003, he won his first NWA Championship from Jeff Jarrett, becoming Orlando's first ever Triple Crown champion. He remained in TNA up until 2013, collecting its major title four more times and earning the moniker of 'Mr.TNA'.

He made sure not to be a one-club man though, making a bold move to Japan that immensely paid off. While he was quickly placed on top of the card and of the Bullet Club, he owes it only to the quality of work that his NJPW years are so fondly remembered. Two years he spent in Japan, two IWGP Heavyweight titles he won, twice he was voted WON's Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Year. And the story just keeps getting better and better. In 2016 Styles added the last missing jewel to his Wrestler of the Decade crown by proving he could be a draw in WWE. His time in America's major leagues earned him yet more world titles, yet more critical acclaim, and a lot more mass appeal.

AJ's matches are full of rhythm, imagination and technical brio. He excels both in striking, spectacular spots and in swift counter/counter-counter sequences. What's more, he'll make deft technical displays look spectacular, and big spots look like credible pro wrestling. It's simple: AJ Styles doesn't have bad matches. He doesn't know how to.
