You know you wanna check that video one more time.

From the casual WWE fan who enjoys the sight of one of his childhood wrestlers coming back to the WWE devotee who understands the huge emotional significance of it, there was something for everybody to enjoy with Edge's 2020 Royal Rumble return. This writer was especially glad because he's always thought Edge was somewhat underrated. We all know he's good of course. But he's not just good; he's a GOAT contender.

Edge was a believable face and world-class heel. His mic work shows he was assiduous during promo school and in the ring, he co-authored some of the most enjoyable matches of the 2000s. If you were to name the best WWE wrestler ever to master both singles and tag team action, he would arguably take top spot alongside Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

His trophy cabinet is GOAT-like too. Edge is famously the most decorated WWE wrestler of all time, having won 31 championships. Among these, he's a record seven-time World Heavyweight Champion, and with the title now defunct he will always be. He also holds the record for most individual tag team titles with 13. And while for the longest time it seemed Edge would forever remain at 31, the possibility of a 32nd championship isn't that unrealistic now...
